Additional text

The Council hosts an in-house Learning and Development team that deliver and commission learning solutions to and for a variety of customers:
*Internal Social Work and Health & Social Care Workforce
*External Health and Social Care Providers, contracted to deliver care and support (Residential,
*Domiciliary etc.)
*School support staff (teachers, office workers)
*Internal Corporate workforce
Whilst the Learning and Development Service has internal trainers and an administration service, it does not have the capacity to meet the needs of all its customers. Therefore, the service looks to commission the knowledge and skills of externally qualified, licensed and experienced providers to work on a variety of training projects as and when required to meet requirements.
The scope of these projects can vary in context, value and duration but, collectively, and over time they support the development of council employees and partner organisations to enhance skills to support delivery of the Councils objectives. Our aim is to nurture a productive workforce to ensure competence and confidence when delivering services to our customers.
