Description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) on behalf of
NHS England, Lancashire wish to Invite bidders to participate in a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for the provision of a Health and Social Care Service in the following prisons within Lancashire:
-HMP Garth & HMP Wymott (Lot 1)
-HMP Kirkham, HMP Lancaster Farms & HMP Preston (Lot 2)
It should be noted that due to the Government's Prison Reform Programme, it may be the case that in the future of some of the prisons that are to be provided with services under this procurement process may be either closed or extended for additional capacity on existing sites.
THe contract will be for five years with the option to extend at the discretion of NHS England Lancashire subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance
The Contracting Authority therefore reserves the right to make future variations to any of the contracts awarded through this procurement process, for example (but not limited to) increasing or decreasing the value of services and/or changing the sites for the services or any other variations required to take account of the Government's Prison Reform Programme.
Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, the contracting authority must consider how what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area and how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement.
