Description

This is a contract opportunity notice for the award , over 6 LOTS, of Extra-care service provision across Hampshire (one contract per LOT) .
Hampshire County Council is looking to commission extra-care services that will:
• Provide stability and consistent availability of service provision.
• Provide care of a consistently good quality.
• Provide care that ensures individuals' safety and protection from harm.
• Provide consistency in the delivery of care and support at night - including the delivery of unplanned care where necessary.
• Work effectively with those seeking to access extra-care, extra-care.
accommodation providers, the District Councils and County Council so as to facilitate effective and appropriate access arrangements.
• Generate increased opportunities for individuals to participate in social and communal activities within the schemes.
• Promote individuals' independence, health and wellbeing - including through working alongside assistive technology solutions linked to an individuals' package of care.
• Support a consistency of understanding and expectation amongst individuals living in schemes, or considering to do so, as to what extra-care services have to offer.
• Support the implementation within the schemes of a new "Waking Night and Wellbeing" funding model by which waking night support, alarm response support and communal / social activity support can be robustly resourced on a more consistent and fairer basis.
In order to achieve a balanced and sustainable market with scope for greater consistency of extra-care service provision, work will be divided into 6 designated geographical LOTS.
Initial term of contracts for each LOT will be 4 years, with additional period(s) not exceeding three years in total in one year extension periods (1+1+1) by which the parties agree to extend Term.
Minimum and Maximum Contract value outlined in this notice are on the basis of the aggregation of the contract values for all 6 LOTS over a 7 year period (i.e. an initial contract Term for each LOT of 4 years with additional period(s) of three years in total, in one year extension periods [1+1+1], by which the parties agree to extend Term).
