The Centre for Aerospace Manufacturing, within the University of Nottingham, are developing Phase 2 of the Future Automated Aerospace Assembly Demonstrator, known as FA3D2. The purpose of the FA3D2 project is to create a national testbed facility for the development and demonstration of innovative, manufacturing technologies capable of facilitating the digitally enabled assembly of future aircraft.
