Description

This tender is for the refurbishment of Out Skerries Lighthouse is located on the Isle of Bound Skerry at a position of 60° 25.469'N, 000° 43.683'W which is the most easterly of the Out Skerries archipelago a property owned by Northern Lighthouse Board. The lighthouse tower is the only building on the island of Bound Skerry. The island can be accessed by contractor boat from an agreed point (Lerwick or Out Skerry) and is also accessed by Helicopter, the journey is approximately 20 miles from Tingwall Airport. Works consist of carrying out a full Asbestos Refurbishment/Demolition Survey on all NLB operational buildings prior to commencement. Testing of the existing 'HCL' fall arrest system and re-certification if necessary before use and provide all relevant test certification for record and audit purposes. Deliver all plant, materials, camp to NLB Oban packaged for helicopter. Land, Plant, Materials, Camp on site and establish the site. Repair works to walkway from boat landing. Full redecoration of the station. Refurbishment of the welfare facilities. De-mobilise site and clear all surplus project materials and plant, with the disposal of excess project materials to appropriate licensed and registered dumps. Supply 'as-built' information for incorporation within NLB Operational and Maintenance documentation, which includes the Health and Safety file in line with current CDM Regulations. Deliver all plant/materials to NLB Oban on 3rd July 2023 for site setup and mobilisation from 12th July 2023 with completion and site clearance by 1st November 2023. A site visit is schedule for Thursday 13th April 2023. Attending the site visit is a compulsory requirement for submitting a tender and confirmation of attendance must be provided by Tuesday 11th April 2023 through the Delta eSourcing Portal.
