        "description": "Grounds Maintenance Contract 2027-2032 SOUTH ROAD\r\n\r\nThe Council is responsible for a number of public open spaces and parks within the town and is committed to ensuring that these areas are maintained to a clean, tidy and high standard for the benefit of residents and visitors.\r\n\r\nThese green spaces are an important part of the town's community infrastructure, contributing to health, wellbeing and visual amenity.\r\n\r\nThe contract for South Road will include, but not be limited to, edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting of trees, shrubs and seasonal bedding, pruning, small tree works, sports pitch maintenance and any other grounds maintenance tasks as required.\r\n\r\nIn accordance with the Council's procurement obligations, details of open invitations to tender for contracts for goods and services exceeding £25,000, together with any resulting contracts, commissioned activity, purchase orders, framework agreements and other legally enforceable agreements above that threshold, will be published on the Hythe Town Council website and the Government's Contracts Finder website.\r\n\r\nRegulatory and Procurement Requirements\r\nThis tender process forms part of Hythe Town Council's formal procurement arrangements for substantial works and services. Where the estimated contract value exceeds £25,000 net of VAT, the Council will comply with the relevant provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Local Government Act 1972, including publication requirements.\r\n\r\nSubmission of Tenders\r\nTender specifications and accompanying documentation will be provided to interested contractors on request. Please contact the Town Clerk in the first instance to obtain the full tender pack.\r\n\r\nAll sealed tenders must be received by post no later than 5.00 pm on 31 December 2026 and addressed to:\r\nThe Town Clerk\r\nTown Council Offices\r\nOaklands\r\nStade Street\r\nHythe\r\nKent\r\nCT21 6BG\r\n\r\nThe Council will notify all tenderers of the outcome in writing by 15 January 2027.\r\nInterviews with shortlisted contractors are expected to be held during the week commencing 25 January 2027.",
