        "description": "(EP0060) Replace the asbestos wall and roof cement cladding with corrugated galvanised steel sheeting, Episkopi, Cyprus \r\n\r\nThe scope of works includes a range of structural alterations, demolition works and new installations throughout the building. \r\nThe demolition and alteration works include the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials, including roof sheets, canopies, wall cladding and ceiling debris, which will be carried out by a licensed contractor. \r\nRemovals include internal timber coverings, partitions, doors and windows, and regarding the roof all the purlins, timber rafters and roof trusses with one exception. \r\nA new roof will be supplied and installed including steel trusses, bracings, SHS beams, Z-purlins and RHS girts for supporting the false ceiling. \r\nThe roof and the walls will be cladded with rockwool insulated panels and a suspended plasterboard ceiling will be installed. \r\nThe works further include the erection of a blockwall, capping beams, installation of aluminium doors and windows, an electrically operated roller shutter, uPVC gutters and rainwater downpipes, together with internal and external decoration. \r\nThe scope also allows for the required mechanical removals and associated electrical works.\r\n\r\nThe Provisional Key Tender dates for the project are as follows:\r\n\r\n-\tExpression of interest return: 31/08/2026\r\n-\tInvitation to Tender:  10/09/2026\r\n-\tTender Return Date: 16/10/2026\r\n-\tContract award: 11/01/2027\r\n-\tCommencement of work: 01/02/2027\r\n-\tCompletion of work: 15/09/2027\r\n\r\nWork commencement and completion dates will be subject to MOD DIO's agreement, as they will be dictated by the Operating Authority to avoid Operational Restrictions.\r\n\r\nThe currency of this project is Euro (€).\r\n\r\nThe location of this project is Cyprus (British Forces, Episkopi).",
