                "description": "The current contract for Bulk Waste Removal Service runs until 31st January 2026.\r\n\r\nThe contract consists of the collection of bulk waste from the following estates, all located in the London Borough of Lambeth:\r\n\r\n•\tEthelred Estate\r\n•\tThorlands Estate\r\n•\tMagdalen Estate\r\n\r\nThe scope of the contract is the removal of bulk waste items including but not limited to:\r\n\r\n•\tMattresses\r\n•\tLarge electrical items\r\n•\tDomestic appliances\r\n•\tFurniture\r\n•\tPaint tins\r\n•\tTyres\r\n•\tGeneral waste\r\n\r\nWaste is collected weekly at Ethelred Estate and Thorlands Estate, and fortnightly at Magdalen Estate.\r\n\r\nThe source of the bulk waste is a combination of fly tipping and the collection of Resident's bulk waste items.\r\n\r\nThe total waste removed between February 2024 and January 2025 was:\r\n\r\n•\tEthelred Estate - 43 tons\r\n•\tThorlands Estate - 31 tons\r\n•\tMagdalen Estate - 14 tons\r\n\r\nThe procurement process for the new Bulk Waste Removal Service is expected to commence in May 2025 with the new contract commencing by 1st February 2026. \r\n\r\nPrior to launching the procurement process, WATMOS is undertaking a Pre Market Engagement exercise.\r\n\r\nThe purpose of the Pre Market Engagement exercise is to:\r\n\r\n•\tEstablish the market capacity for bulk waste removal \r\n•\tEstablish potential Bidder interest in this opportunity\r\n•\tEstablish key risks and barriers\r\n•\tEstablish solution options\r\n•\tEstablish the optimum contract term\r\n•\tEstablish procurement options and timescales\r\n•\tEstablish cost drivers and indicative budgets\r\n•\tEstablish the potential to generate Social Value\r\n•\tShape the content of the Tender documentation\r\n\r\nFor details on how to participate in the Pre Market Engagement, please refer to the attached Pre Market Engagement Brief.\r\n\r\nThis Pre Market Engagement is being advertised on behalf of WATMOS Community Homes by Clarity Procurement Solutions Limited.",
