The project comprises a series of Rock Headlands, with associated cross over access \r\nramps, that are designed to stabilise or reverse the long-term beach lowering trend at the toe of the \r\nexisting defences. The works also include urgent repairs to the existing coastal defences (e.g. recasting/patch repairs to selected areas such as where there is exposed reinforcement or significant \r\ncracking). This will include recasting beach access steps where required for public safety and major \r\nimprovements to the slipway at Little Bispham. The extent and details of the urgent revetment \r\nrepairs, recasting access steps and slipway improvements will be developed and fully defined during \r\nthe detailed design phase.",
