This notice is to request feedback from the market to inform future decisions***\r\n\r\nUK Research and Innovation wish to procure an Auto-Classification Tool. \r\n\r\nThe service required is the ability to classify the UKRI portfolio of applications and awards (Research Councils, Research England, Innovate UK) to a pre-existing classification system. The need for automating the classification is to reduce time spend on manual categorisation and improve operational efficiency. The solution is to classify new applications and our historic portfolio. \r\n\r\nIn addition we require a solution to identify  Trusted Research and Innovation for a quarterly report to DSIT - e.g. key word search.\r\n\r\nRequirements:\r\n\r\nIn Scope\r\nAL/ML solution: the development of an AI/ML model to classify unstructured data into a structured system\r\nData Integration: Integration of the classification system with existing data sources\r\nModel training and customisation: the vendor is responsible to train the AU/ML model using existing or new datasets to ensure classification accuracy\r\nSystem Deployment and Testing: Deployment of the solution in a live environment, including user acceptance testing to ensure it meets requirements.\r\nPost Deployment support: on going support, maintenance, periodic retraining of the AI/ML model to maintain performance over time.\r\n\r\nOut of Scope \r\nProvision of hardware or IT infrastructure\r\nCustom development beyond core classification functionality \r\n\r\nPotential Demand: Demand may fluctuate, based on the volume of new applications being processed. The vendor should ensure the solution can scale to accommodate this. \r\n\r\nKnown Constraints: compliance with data protection and our Data Protection Privacy Impact Assessment and meeting GDPR requirements.\r\n\r\n***There is no commitment at this stage that the above mentioned opportunity will proceed in its current format***",
