Description

Copeland Borough Council is seeking to appoint an architect to develop the design for a high-quality, eco-friendly café facility on the beach front at Silecroft in the Western Lake District.

The requirement is for the successful contractor to develop the design for a purpose-built single-story building, which would become a critical tool in supporting the visitor economy in the Western Lake District as well as catering for the significant number of local users who currently use the beach for a wide variety of recreational activities.

This will include obtaining all consents, planning permission, all ground works and the connection of services.

The final drawings will then need to be fully costed and taken to the end of RIBA stage 4 ready for tendering for the construction phase.
