Description
The Environment Agency is an Executive Non-departmental Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Our principal aims are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development.
The National Laboratory Service (NLS) have responsibility for the provision of analytical analysis in accordance with the Environment Agency's statutory responsibility for monitoring the environment.
The NLS comprises two (2) sites with analytical laboratories situated in Exeter and Leeds, and employs in excess of 160 scientists, analytical specialists and support staff. The NLS currently owns and uses over 200 major analytical instruments.
The NLS is seeking to find a proactive and innovative supplier for the provision of one (1) Liquid Chromatography High-Resolution Accurate Mass Instrument for delivery by 01 March 2020.
The NLS has a currently identified a need to purchase a Liquid Chromatography High-Resolution Accurate Mass Instrument which will form the major part of an overall package to include software, library databases and reports (the System), necessary to facilitate the non-target screening of a range of matrices, providing for the identification and tentative identification of substances present in a user friendly manner, in order to inform decision makers and regulators or environment contamination.
