Description

The proposal for a Communications & Marketing partner to deliver behaviour change methods around Physical Activity in Doncaster with regards to the 'Get Doncaster Moving' initiatives with the vision of "Healthy & Vibrant Communities through Physical Activity and Sport."

The proposed requirement is to identify what narrative, messages and stories are important, who the messengers are, and the ways to connect people in a way that spreads ideas.

We would like to work with an agency (or group of agencies) who share our values:
• All of our work places community at the heart; Asset-Based Community Development, co-production and co-design with residents and partners is embedded within our approaches - focussing on what's strong not what's wrong.
• Research takes account of all demographics of the population of Doncaster including geographical and themed communities.
• To add value to, but not replicate, current work
• Ensure sustainable and long lasting changes are delivered with and by our residents that address inequalities, particularly relating to access and participation.
• Do things differently; being innovative and taking risks

The overall vision is to increase activity and reduce inactivity levels across the whole of the borough of Doncaster. We need to ensure that our approach is inclusive (e.g. women as well as men, disabled and non-disabled or people with long term conditions, young and old, all ethnicities and socio-economic groups). With this understanding, there are specific audiences that we need to target if we are to significantly reduce inactivity levels in Doncaster.
