Description

The Department for Education requires a supplier framework of multiple suppliers to draft and develop potential items and their mark schemes ready for formal trialling. The proposed framework will run from 01/04/2021 until 31/03/2024 with an option to extend by an additional year (subject to STA requirements). The total framework value is not expected to exceed £4m.

STA's remit is to develop and deliver statutory assessments, including national curriculum tests for English Reading, English grammar, punctuation and spelling, Mathematics and Science for use in schools at the end of key stage 1 and key stage 2. It is responsible for ensuring these tests are of the highest quality, accessible to all, inclusive and free from bias. Maintaining item writing contract services is essential to STA's operating model of delivering brand new tests for key stage 1 and key stage 2.
