Description

Consultants are invited to tender to support Forest Research in the further development and delivery of i-Tree in the UK. Specifically, consultants may be requested to:
- conduct plot-based and full inventory i-Tree Eco survey field work, in line with the i-Tree Eco manual (i-Tree Eco Manual can be found at https://www.itreetools.org/resources/manuals.php)
- conduct training in the use and implementation of i-Tree (especially i-Tree Eco and i-Tree Canopy), this maybe of small (~6) to large groups (~20people ) comprising a mix of backgrounds and expertise ranging from volunteers to tree specialists, to correctly implement i-Tree manual. Training must include classroom tutorials plus a practical element, to include real-life examples. Training sessions may be requested in England, Scotland or Wales
- conduct supervision of i-Tree survey field work, and conduct Quality Assurance checks of i-Tree survey field work in line with the i-Tree Eco manual
- provide expert advice to Forest Research and appointed partners on application and developments in the full suite of i-Tree programmes, including Eco, Streets, Design, Hydro and Canopy
- preparation of project proposals for co-delivery of i-Tree surveys with Forest Research
- produce full reports to disseminate the results of i-Tree projects, reports should be of a technical nature, while written in a manner that is accessible to a diverse readership
- peer-review and Quality Assurance checks of publications
- add to Forest research reputation to enhance funding applications for i-Tree related work
