Description

OVERVIEW

The EU Settlement Scheme allows EU, EEA and Swiss citizens living in the UK before the end of 2020 (and their non-EU family members) to obtain an immigration status they need to continue living and working in the UK beyond 30 June 2021.

The Home Office has made up to £4.5 million of grant funding in FY20/21 available, through open and fair competition, for successful organisations to provide practical application support to a diverse range of vulnerable EUSS applicants across the UK.

FY20-21 grant funding is available to Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations, as well as local authorities (LAs), local government associations and other organisations providing support services (including equivalents in the Devolved Administrations) willing to provide practical EUSS application support to vulnerable people and their eligible family members.

Bidders may apply for funding independently and/or as part of multi-organisational bids (e.g. Consortia, Prime/Sub-contractor, Joint Venture) - however, Bidders may only act as a 'Lead Organisation' (Lead Bidder) once, across all levels of award:

• Lot A (£5,000 - £24,999) - only for VCS organisations as Lead Bidder

• Lot B (£25,000 - £150,000) - only for VCS organisations as Lead Bidder

• Lot C (£5,000 up to £150,000) - only for local authorities (LAs), local government associations or organisations providing support services (or equivalents in the Devolved Administrations) as Lead Bidder

FUNDING OUTCOMES

The key outcome is to deliver practical application support to vulnerable EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members. It is critical that support delivered through this grant funding leads to EUSS applications being submitted to the Home Office; further details on this (and indeed all aspects of this competition) are outlined in the documentation available on the bid portal, available to all those who register.

The Home Office aims to maximise geographical coverage across the UK and to award grant funding to a wide network of organisations that work with a range of at-risk groups, so that support is delivered to those that need it most.

Funding will be for six (6) months from 01 October 2020 to 31 March 2021.

Bid submissions are due by 12pm (noon) on Monday 13 July 2020.
