Description

NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) invites suitably qualified and experienced providers to participate in this procurement for the provision of a consultant-led Community Gynaecology Service.

The primary aims of the Community Gynaecology Service are to:
Deliver a consultant-led service;
Provide patients with equity of access to high quality, safe and clinically effective care;
Improve patient satisfaction with services; and
To deliver cost effective NHS services.

In doing so, the commissioners are looking for the service to:
Introduce effective, well integrated patient pathways;
Increase the capacity of community based gynaecology services;
Reduce patient waiting times;
Enable continuity of care for patients;
Achieve improved value for money.

Whilst it expects the successful provider to:
Deliver high-quality patient-centred services;
Deliver services that meet patient needs and access preferences;
Integrate positively with the local healthcare community;
Offer a value for money and affordable NHS community outpatient service within Barnet;
Continue to support patient choice;
Be innovative in the delivery of a community gynaecology service.

The contract term will be initially for three years.

The Contract is expected to be awarded in September 2015 with service mobilisation commencing October 2015.

Extension Option: Any period(s) up to a maximum of two years beyond the initial three year term.
