Description

Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire is an historic riverside market town on one of the most beautiful stretches of the River Thames, for which tourism plays an important role. The way that Henley-on-Thames is presented is of key importance and for many years the town has been renowned for its impressive floral displays, being a regular winner of RHS Regional In Bloom medals.

Henley-on-Thames Town Council is now seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake horticultural services as listed in the attached specification. The contractor would also be required to provide hanging baskets (sponsored) for Henley-on-Thames Town Council's hanging basket scheme, where summer and winter hanging baskets are sponsored by residents and businesses, meaning the whole town is involved in making the town a beautiful place to visit.

Henley-on-Thames enters the RHS In Bloom competition each year and closely follows their aims with regard to environmental policy and resource management. Preference will be given to applicants that can demonstrate they reflect these aims in their organisation. Henley-on-Thames also likes to be unique and it is therefore important that some flexibility is retained in the design of its floral displays and hanging baskets according to the annual themes of the Henley in Bloom/Civic Pride Sub-Committee.

The contract will commence on 1 November 2019 for a period of five years with annual price increases in accordance with the CPI and will include a review after one year and a two year break clause.

The figures provided in section 2 - Value Information are per annum.

Your submission should include:

- An overview of your organisation
