Description

The University of Birmingham is seeking trusted partners for provision of IT supply and services for a new campus in Dubai. From 2021, teaching will move to our new full-size campus based on a prominent plot at Dubai International Academic City. Growing over time to an eventual capacity for 4,500 students and 500 staff, the new campus will be an innovative, purpose-built structure that will showcase the best of the sector and University of Birmingham Dubai design.

The University is seeking trusted partners to provide the following cost-effective components

1. Infrastructure supply, installation and support
2. Pre-staging and logistical assistance
3. Project management to ensure rapid on-site service stand-up within 60 days
4. Work closely with our partners and building contractors
5. An optional managed service element for all infrastructure
6. An optional on-site end-user IT Service Desk
7. Integration with existing technology provided on our UK campus
a. Delivery of corporate systems (Finance, HR etc) are out of scope, but some integration may be needed
b. All academic records systems are out of scope, but some integration may be needed
c. All academic learning environments are out of scope, but some integration may be needed
8. Introduction or demonstration of innovative and disruptive technologies relevant to enhance the student experience

The University of Birmingham Dubai is looking to award a contract for an initial period of five years, with an option to extend for an additional period of one plus one plus one years.
