Description

St John at Hackney wishes to engage a suitably qualified design consultant for two phases of work required for:
Architectural Design incorporating Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) acting as the Principle Designer.
- Part 1: Development Phase
This specialist design service will assist St John at Hackney in preparation for its second round application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, up to the design equivalent of detail required for RIBA Stage 3 (old work stage D), together with a full planning and listed building consent application.
St John at Hackney will procure the services of an independent Structural Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Services Engineer and QS consultant.
- Part 2: Delivery Phase
There will be a second round process to provide further detailed architectural designs, specifications and cost plans to their final form. This will include managing the procurement, production and build of these schemes from RIBA Stage 4-7 (old work stage E-L) including the contract administration of the construction works by the Architect / Lead designer.
The Delivery Phase is dependent on achieving a successful second round Heritage Grant award and combined with securing funding from the HLF to coordinate and deliver the capital building works. Therefore, St John at Hackney will be appointing initially for the Development Phase with an option to appoint for the Delivery Phase to complete the scheme. Tenderers will be required to split costs into these two phases.
Requirement
Updates to the current Quinquennial Inspection Report
Updates to the current measured building surveys (TBC)
An access assessment (including disability access) of the development proposals
A fire report and assessment of the development proposals
A Carbon Footprint Assessment (to HLF requirements)
