Description
The following opportunity is being managed and performed by our Insurance Consultancy: Gibbs Laidler, on behalf of the Swaythling Housing Society trading as Abri and its subsidiary organisations (Abri), to identify suitable provision of Insurance and related services, and claims handling services as required.
This opportunity is run in connection with a competitive procurement process conducted in accordance with Regulation 29 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Radian and Yarlington have come together and in partnership created a new organisation We're Abri, a housing association based in the south of England. One of the largest in fact. We've got 35,000 homes and 80,000 residents living in them (See Map 1 for our operational area).
Abri is the new name for the partnership between Radian and Yarlington. We've brought together the expertise and financial capabilities of two strong organisations. Abri means 'shelter'. And that's exactly what we're committed to doing. We believe everyone has the right to a safe, warm, and sustainable home, and to be part of a community where everyone has the opportunity to belong, grow and thrive.
As Abri, we are all about providing great homes and services, creating communities and improving peoples' life chances. We will work with you, our customers, our communities and other partners to make this a reality. We will:
1. Build more homes
2. Invest more in our existing homes
3. Aim for 100% customer satisfaction
4. Invest more to create thriving communities
5. Create a great place to work
6. Manage our business to the highest standards
7. Play our part in tackling climate change
As one of the south and south west's largest housing providers with some 80,000 customers across 35,000 homes Abri plans to further invest in its homes, customers and communities. We plan to invest a further £215 million in our existing homes, ensuring they are sustainable and support our plans to play our part in tackling climate change. As part of our wider commitment to addressing the housing crisis, we are continuing to develop our Homelessness Prevention Strategy, aiming to do our bit to help end homelessness for good.
Together, we have a growing portfolio of over 38,000 units across the south and south west of England (see map below) and plan to deliver 10,000 new homes over the next 10 years. We came together to do more for our customers and that's exactly what we are doing - you can read how in our brand new corporate strategy for 2020-2025, Achieving Together.
