Description

1. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has a requirement for the design, supply and delivery to the Nuclear Department at HMS Sultan, of experimental apparatus which is to be used to examine the performance characteristics of a number of candidate test materials in the presence of flowing high temperature and pressure aqueous fluids. To include a minimum 1 year warranty, costings for subsequent annual safety assessments, ½ day familiarisation training (to be delivered within 3 weeks of receipt), taking test equipment up to full pressure and temperature conditions and an operating manual. The output should include a front control panel with adjacent test oven. Delivery should be against the technical specification as defined in the Statement of Requirement (SOR)

2. The requirement is for a HP/HT fluid flow rig made of stainless steel construction to enable the pumping of test aqueous fluid through a specific test column. The test column will be located in a suitable oven environment and housed vertically with inlet fluid at the top, exiting at the bottom. Furthermore the test column must be of suitable dimensions to allow the containment of test organic or mineral material and be fitted with a bottom mesh to support the test solids, whilst still allowing fluid flow through the column. It will be important for the test column to be readily removed from the test rig and be amenable to easy discharge and subsequent re-filling with test material prior to use again. Test conditions up to 200 bar and 300°C are required.

3. The MoD will require a "rough" Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawing to be submitted at the tender stage to display full rig assembly and functionality.

4. The delivery and installation is to be no later than 31 Mar 2016.

Full details of the requirements for the Chemistry and Materials HP/HT Dynamic Flow Rig will be included in the tender documents.

Please note it is MOD policy to make payment via Purchase to Payment (P2P).

Companies that wish to express an interest in this requirement are required to provide their full company name, postal address, contact name, telephone number and email address to sallko.hq@da.mod.uk
