Brief Description of Requirement

UK Research and Innovation has a requirement to establish a contract for a single Contractor to provide Landscaping and Ground Maintenance Services at Daresbury Laboratory (DL).

A brief overview of the requirements has been provided below, however for full details please ensure you review all additional appendices of this requirement.

Routine Services

The following Routine Services are required:

• Mowing of fine grass - cut and collect
• Mowing of coarse grass - cut and let fly
• Mowing of field grass - rough cut
• Weed and moss control and fertilising of grassed areas
• Litter clearance from hard landscaping including pedestrian areas, car parks, bin stores, storage areas
• Clearing leaves from rainwater gullies
• Hedge trimming
• Shrub pruning and cutting back
• Hoeing and forking of bedding areas
• Weed and moss control to hard landscaping
• Bark mulching of bedding areas
• Maintaining sapling/semi mature tree growth, removing lower growth

Additional Services

The following Additional Services may be required:

• Snow and ice clearance
• Graffiti removal
• Tree surgery

The Contract duration shall be for a period of two years with optional extension of one- year period from commencement of the Contract (2+1).
